HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Hi quick update precious is doing great she is always playing and chasing after squirrels when we go out. The extendo leash that we have for her is a lifesaver because she is always pulling or starts to run without warning that she pulls our arms out of our sockets. LOL. A little better control from that. Precious is starting to put on weight and try as we might she has come into a very sedentary family. So at present we are about 5 pounds overweight. When we do take her on long walks she takes a minute or two or three to catch her breath. She loves her toys every time she comes into the living room she goes to pull out every single toy that she has (we have great fun having to pick all of them up, not). I love her fur when she will sit still by me long enough I just sit and pet her, I could do that all day, she's sooo soft. Love it!
I was previously contemplating spaying Precious and we have since done so about 2 months ago and she did great we went with the lower price spay package at the animal coalition of tampa. Some where abouts less than 200.00 us dollars as opposed to going to the vet and paying upwards of 400.00 us dollars which is only for the spaying and pain meds. We got that and also threw in some vaccinations that were due all at 5 dollars a piece, again love it! I'm sorry to say I work hard for my money and am not about to throw it away. Precious is still getting taken care of, very well I may add. So far she's doing well through her toddler phase and is starting to calm down a bit still a little nippy at times but all in all precious as always. Until next time folks, wishing all a very happy holidays from precious and family to all. Doggy Smooches!

Scare of a lifetime!

Today we were walking Precious and we came upon one of our neighbors and their dog. They both started running towards each other, keep in mind the other dog is 2x as big as precious. Well, I let Precious run up to the other dog and the other dog nipped her on her muzzle. I screamed pulled precious back and took a look... Thank goodness her skin was not broken! Looking back at that situation now we should have approached slower and let the dogs sniff each other. Hard to do when both are pulling so hard on their chains! Next time I know better. I'm just glad Precious wasn't hurt.

Time Fly's!!

Precious is now more than a year old! She's a beautiful tricolor beagle and barks all the time! Well, at least I know that she does when we are home. The girl has got lungs.. lol.
She's gotten better at nipping although sometimes when people roughhouse with her she will accicentally nip in the excitement. I say GOOD, you shouldn't have been rough with her. She's so funny she'll come into the living room where her bin is and start taking out all her toys and shaking her head side to side like she's trying to tear them up, and she has. Her fur is so soft still I wasn't expecting it to be so beautiful still as a grown up pup, I just wish she wouldn't shed so much even with all the brushing we do, though it's not often enough! She has been a pleasure to take care of and have everyone in the family just loves her.

See you soon!!

Monday

Precious is so cute! Sorry had to get it out. She's learning to play fetch with the extendo leash still on of course and she's starting to get it. Except letting go is still an area we're trying to work on. She love's to run on our walks so I, not being in the best shape ever, got her that leash. At first I was worried that it would be difficult to operate, but it proved different. Now at least she's got that much room in back and in front of me when she feels like running, lol! She's recently gotten into the habit of picking up any sticks that she finds. She loves to nibble on them, can dogs get splinters from branches??? I wonder... Regardless till I hear otherwise I try to get them away from her as soon as I can. She's so cute walking with her stick hanging out her mouth on both ends ready to plop down and nibble on it.

Holidays are here!!!

Well this week has been full of fun and presents presents presents! Precious is so cute she got these cookie bites for christmas and loves the way they taste even though they don't have any smell to them. Leave it up to Grandma to get the good stuff... Gradma got Precious a bag full of toys 2 large plastic squeeze bone toys and 3 red tennis balls and a furry critter and a bone made from like a jean fabric. Precious loves the squeeky toys. It's so comical to hear her play with them because of the way they sound. She makes mommy crack up. She is such a good girl still remembers her tricks, we've been slacking on practicing them lately. Still having trouble with walk nice and down for lay down. We're going to have to keep practicing though. Well folks Happy Holidays! from Precious and family!

My Precious

Hello out there! Hope your holidays are special and happy. We are getting ready for christmas ourselves. Mommy has been putting off putting up the tree worried that Precious will try to knock it down. Unable to put it off anymore we will be putting up the christmas tree today and see how precious does with it.
Precious is now going on 7 months old. Wow how time flies! I've decided not to spay her I would love for her to have maybe a few litters of pups, we'll see how she does after the first one. We are going to wait until precious is a little more grown up first. Maybe at two or three years old. I've seen Puggles and think they are soooo cute!
She's not nipping as much as she used to. When she starts mommy has to put her in her corral. She is getting use to being out of her cage. We potty her and then let her hang out around the house. Still having accidents every once in a while. Thank goodness for spot removers! Precious is still chewing hard, she has this little chew toy that looks like ribs and has managed to pull it apart! Thank goodness she doesn't bite! We got her a few compressed bones to chew on and she loves them!
